ABOUT

family-pic

In 2013, we packed up our family and moved across the world to Papua New Guinea, following God’s call into missions and trusting Him with what came next. We originally served with New Tribes Mission and later joined Samaritan Aviation, eventually moving to Wewak in 2015.

What started as a step of faith has become more than 13 years of ministry, friendships, raising our family, and watching God work in ways that have forever changed us.

Chris joined Samaritan Aviation as a registered nurse. Over the years, his role grew from working directly with patients and helping with the day-to-day ministry and operations to leading Samaritan Aviation’s work in East Sepik Province and eventually serving as Papua New Guinea Country Director. One of the greatest privileges throughout those years has been serving alongside an incredible team of Papua New Guinean and expat staff and seeing God work through them.

Sarah’s ministry has centered largely around the hospital and the relationships built there. She has had the privilege of sitting beside patients and families, praying with them, sharing God’s Word, and helping develop the hospital ministry into an intentional opportunity to clearly walk people through the Gospel. It has been an incredible privilege to watch God use His Word in people’s lives.

PNG is also where our family grew from a family of six to a family of nine! God added our three youngest children to our family through adoption, and all seven of our children have been part of our life and ministry here. Some of our sweetest memories from these years are simply memories of doing life and serving together with the people we love.

Looking back over more than 13 years, we are incredibly grateful. God has been faithful through every season, and it has been a privilege to have a small part in what He is doing in Papua New Guinea.
